Sky Watch Friday: My # 30

WOW, am I glad it is Friday! I have just one week left of school this semester and then a much needed month long brain break. The best part about this week was the Three day Snow Storm that just pounded the Tipp O' the Mitt and West Coast of Michigan! It not only canceled K-12 schools, but college classes as well. (Usually the the community colleges figure we have lived here so long, a cool 6-8 inches of snow in a 14 hour period is nothing to drive in.) Not this week though! The storm started around 2am Wednesday, dumping 6+ inches in less than 4 hours. From 7 am until this photo was taken around lunch, we accumulated an extra 8 inches.
My Front yard...You can't even see the road, and the plow already went by!

From Lunch until about 6pm the snow let up to this...about 3/4 mile visibility!

The Trees were bare the day before,
and there was only an inch of snow covering the ground.
Now that it finally looks like winter out, I am motivated to get outside and play again. The snowboard is ready (I promised myself I would go our riding this year no matter what), the Snowshoes are hanging on the garage wall ready to be worn, and Peanut is old enough to finally be outside for longer than 15 minutes at a time. Now only if it would stay above 10 degrees F with no wind.
This is the biggest storm I have ever been in here, trust me, but it was the first of the year. After not seeing the beautiful white powder for over 6 months, it is much welcomed. Plus it just makes everything look a bit more like Christmas!
Happy Sky Watch Friday, and Don't forget to see what the sky's look like around the rest of the world. (click the link yo!)
